Self Presentation

In my art I research how history, personal as well as collective is constructed and deconstructed - how facts become history and how memory and forgetting functions. Every generation re-writes its past in order to understand the present. A part of my work is to understand the role of the artist in these processes.

I exhibited worldwide, representing Armenia on the Bienniale in Venice 1997 and in Sao Paulo 2002, I participated in the exhibition ”After The Wall” at Moderna Museet in Stockholm, the Ludwig Museum Budapest and Hamburger Bahnhof 1999/2000. 2009 Thessaloniki Biennale, Moskow Biennale- special project, Cerveria Bienale Portugal.
